Danfoss Selects The Tustin Group for Revolutionary New Product

Danfoss, a global manufacturer of compressors, controls, valves, regulators, and many other high tech components for the HVAC and waste and wastewater markets, recently asked the Tustin Group to handle their new line of DanFoss Turbocor Compressors.

These compressors are the world’s first oil-free compressors specifically designed for mid range HVACR chiller and rooftop applications. They make conventional oil-lubricated compressors obsolete in 50-300 ton applications. The DanFoss Turbocor Compressors are ideal for retrofit applications in hotels, hospitals, industrial facilities, office buildings and schools.

Why The Tustin Group?

DanFoss was looking for an established, professional, market leader to help them introduce this new technology into the Philadelphia market. The Tustin Group fit their profile as we have a large retrofit customer base, we focus on long-term customer relationships, and we invest in training and technology to keep us ‘ahead of the trends’.

According to Rodney Moore, General Manager of the Tustin Group, New Jersey office, “This is a great opportunity for Tustin to get in on the ground floor with a technology that is very different and will be truly beneficial to our customers. We have the ability to save our customers 20-30% on their energy bills when these compressors are used to retrofit their systems. This in not just a one-time savings,” Moore continued, “These savings continue for the life of the system. “

A Brief Encounter

Tustin has already had a brief and successful encounter with the Turbocor Compressors. “In May, we installed new 2 Smart Chillers at NFL Films in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. These chillers contained the Turbocor compressors. NFL Films is already reporting a 15-20% reduction in their energy bills,” Moore stated. “Our customer at NFL films is very happy with his investment and the results.”

“This opportunity fits right in with our new environmental business objectives,” says Tus  Sasser. “We recently joined the U.S. Green Building Council and now have several of our engineers LEED Certified. This compressor technology is clean, quiet, efficient and has a proven history of saving energy dollars. It will add to the many products and services we now have to offer customers looking to be more environmentally friendly when retrofitting  their buildings.”
